VOYAGE PLANNING – WEATHER ROUTING  Optimizing the ships route and schedule to  take into account wheater and sea conditions  will reduce the fuel consumption for a trip.				WIND POWER  Sails, kites or Fletner rotors can be used to  harness the energy in the wind an give part of  the forward driving trust for the ship.				HULL CLEANING  Cleaning the hull reduces the frictional  resistance.

				DELTA TUNING  Common rail technology makes it possible to  tune the engine to give lower consumption at  part load while still meeting NOX emission  limits by allowing higher consumption at full  load that is seldom used.
